Update

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

      Thanks for visiting our website!   We promise to update more frequently this year--it's one of our new year's resolutions J    

    Justin finished his first project at Intel, and you should be able to buy computers with his processor soon--just look for the Core2 sticker!  His project even made the news--click here to check out one of the stories.  Jessica is teaching chemistry and AVID this year.   Justin came in as a guest speaker on semiconductors recently, and the students were really excited to ask him questions about our marriage instead of chemistry!   In her other class, several of the AVID seniors have been accepted to college and will be the first in their family to attend a university.   Jessica still volunteers at Powerhouse Ministries, a local shelter, where she is helping a few residents with their GED and spends time with some of the youth.

    We visited Yosemite after Thanksgiving and got some good exercise!  We hiked Vernal Falls and then were happy to stay in a warm hotel, complete with a fireplace and peppermint hot chocolate.  We enjoyed walking through the Giant Sequoias and were amazed by Glacier Point's breathtaking views.  We also got a chance to experience some of the best rapids in the country on the Middle Fork of the American River this summer.  Thankfully we only fell out of the raft once!  You can check out pictures on our photos page.   There are also some pictures from our trips to San Diego and Illinois over the summer.      

    We're looking forward to watching the Rose Bowl with some fellow Illini fans and the chance to spend some time with family this holiday.  Please keep in touch and let us know if you're interested in visiting and/or skiing!
